Tashlich is the tradion of throwing bread into the water as a way of symbolically casng away our sins.Tashlich is a time to reflect on the things we would like to cast off from the past year and if you come to Thompson Park in Jamesburg, you hear the shofar calling us to wake up and make changes now as the new year begins. The congregation will hold a short service at Thompson Park in Jamesburg for Tashlich and a Shofar sounding at 12:30 p.m. on Sunday. Taschlich is a thoughtful service and well behaved dogs and all ages are welcome.
Please remember the Erev Rosh Hashahah (this Friday), Childresn's Service, and 2nd Day Rosh Hashanah are at Temple Shaari Emeth. First Day Rosh Hashanah is at Marlboo High School. Please check the schedule to confirm the location for the service you are attending, if coming in person.
Reminders for those attending in-person
Please stay home if you are not feeling well, have a stuffy nose not due to allergies, a fever or any other cold or flu symptoms.
Masks are not required, but you are welcome to wear one. There will not be a mask-only section.
Please bring your tickets for the appropriate holiday and be prepared to show identification if requested.
We will have increased security at both buildings, but please be aware of your surroundings and alert one of our security guards, police, staff, or ushers if you see or hear anything that in concerning.
Childcare will be available for all services held at Marlboro High School. There is no charge and reservations are not needed.
For the services held at Temple Shaari Emeth, there will be a quiet room with the livestream on a tv that parents can take their child to for a break.
