Woman of Valor

The Eshet Chayil / Woman of Valor award is presented each year to a Sisterhood member who has proven to be a leader in the community. Stemming from a hymn in the Book of Proverbs, this woman is recognized as an openly giving and compassionate person. She is committed to the cause of the Jewish people and Israel. This outstanding woman is a role model to others, including her family and inspires women to positively impact Jewish communities, both at Temple Shaari Emeth and outside of our walls.

We are accepting nominations for the 2019 TSE Woman of Valor (Award Recipient will be presented at the Sisterhood Shabbat Service, May 10, 2019)

You may use this checklist to help choose why you are nominating this woman as TSE’s Woman of Valor 
2019. In your nomination please share how she has made a difference in her family and/or her 
community - or how she may have impacted you!!

1. Is she known in the community for being an active volunteer?
2. Does she lead by example?
3. Is she a motivator, teacher, leader?
4. Does she inspire others to be involved with her?
5. Is she a visionary? Does she bring things to light?
6. Is she passionate, committed and a hardworker?
7. Does she represent the Jewish Community & Jewish values in the public eye?
8. Is she selfless?
9. Does she support the Jewish Community with time, effort and action?
10. Does she share her talent, time and knowledge?
