Pine Brook Mitzvah Committee

The Mitzvah Committee is a small group of dedicated volunteers who bring spirituality to residents at the Pine Brook Care Center, 104 Pension Road, Englishtown through monthly Shabbat services and a Passover seder.

Once a month, the Mitzvah Committee leads Shabbat services for the residents of Pine Brook Care Center in Englishtown beginning promptly at 10:30am ( so please arrive at 10:15 to help set up ) . The services run approximately one hour and are “traditional” Reform service s that include a Torah service and count as mitzvah credit for the Religious School. We also conduct a Passover seder for the residents, usually the week before Passover , using the Haggadah written by our Rabbi Emeritus Philip Schechter .

Please come join us in worship, help distribute the books or the challah, but most importantly make the day special for the residents.
