Rabbi Philip Bazeley, originally from Brooklyn, NY, graduated from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, MA. There he majored in Legal Studies and minored in Sociology and also earned a certificate in Criminal Justice. Rabbi Bazeley was ordained in 2012 from the Hebrew Union College - Jewish Institute of Religion where he also earned a Master of Arts in Hebrew Literature as well as a Master of Arts in Religious Education.

Rabbi Bazeley has served as a Clinical Faculty Mentor at the Hebrew Union College - Jewish Institute of Religion's New York School of Education. Rabbi Bazeley has also been awarded the title Reform Jewish Educator (R.J.E.) from the National Association of Temple Educators (NATE) for the work that he has done at this Temple and others. Rabbi Bazeley has also been honored with the Union for Reform Judaism's Maurice N. Eisendrath's Bearer of Light Award for his participation in America's Journey for Justice, where he marched with the NAACP as well as other members of the CCAR from Selma, Alabama to Washington D.C. in the summer of 2015.
