We are sad to share that Larry Slater passed away today, Tuesday, January 18, 2022.
Larry is survived by his wife Phyllis of 57 years. He was the father of Kim Kesil and Jonathan Slater, father-in-law of Bill Kesil and Pam Slater, brother of Eileen Tomback, brother-in-law of Ed Tomback and Ed Salzhauer, grandfather of Jack, Reece, Eli and Morgan. They will miss his infectious smile, twinkling eyes and his big heart.
Larry was the uncle of Matt and Mary Tomback, Julie Tomback, Rana and Matt Bottino and Rachel and Morgan Carney. He was the great uncle of Noah, Luke, Grace, Ellie, Sam and Bryce.
The funeral service will be Thursday, January 20th at 11:00am at Freeman’s Funeral Home, 344 Route 9 North, Manalapan. Internment is at Beth Israel Cemetery, Woodbridge, NJ at 1:00pm.
Shiva will be at the Slater home, 5 Red Coat Place, Allentown, NJ on Thursday, January 20 from 7:00pm-9:00pm with a Minyan at 7:30pm, Friday, January 21 from 1:00pm-4:00pm, and Saturday, January 22 from 5pm-8:00pm with Minyan at 5:00pm. Masks are required.
