We are sad to share that Melvin Bluthal, father of TSE member Evette, father-in-law of David, and grandfather of Hannah, passed away yesterday, May 29, 2019.  Melvin is also survived by his wife, Rowena Bluthal; son Bennett (Michelle) Bluthal; son Myles Bluthal; and daughter Marcy (Woody) Vaun; and grandson Dylan Bluthal.

Funeral services for Melvin will be held Sunday, June 2, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapels, 44 Wilson Avenue, Manalapan, NJ 07726. Interment will follow at Beth Israel Cemetery, 1098 Woodbridge Center Drive, Woodbridge, NJ 07095.

Shiva will be observed at the Rowena's home (362 US Highway 9 
Unit 241, Englishtown, NJ 07726) as follows: Sunday following the burial, Monday: 10AM to 1PM and 4PM to 7PM, Wednesday:10AM to 1PM, Thursday: 10A to 1PM and 4PM to 7PM. There will be a Minyan at 7PM on Sunday, Monday, and Thursday.

There will also be Shiva at Evette and David Witt's home (166 Ocean Avenue, Middletown, NJ 07748)  on Tuesday from10AM to 7PM.

We are sad to share that Herbert Trattner, father of TSE member Karen Toran, father-in-law of Stephen, and grandfather of Mitchell, Zachary and Logan, passed away on Sunday, May 12, 2019.  In addition, Herbert is survived Karen's mother, Sandra Trattner; son Bradley (Lisa) Trattner; daughter Tracy (Douglas) Klein; sister Blossom Cook; and six more grandchildren.

A funeral service for Herbert will be held Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at 1:00 PM at Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapels, 44 Wilson Avenue, Manalapan, NJ 07726. Interment will follow at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery, Iselin, NJ.

The family will be sitting Shiva at the Trattner's home (41 Gormley Lane in Monroe (Greenbriar)) on Tuesday after the burial through Thursday between the hours of 2 to 4pm, and 6 to 8pm with a Shiva Minyan each night at 7pm. Shiva will then take place at Karen and Stephen's home (405 Westminster Drive, Morganville) on Friday from 3 to 6:30pm.

We are sad to share that David Yavarkovsky, stepfather of Shari (Jason) Nudelman, and grandfather of Hannah, Ella, Reed and Brooke (z"l) Nudelman, passed away on Tuesday, April 23, 2019. In addition to the Nudleman family, David is remembered by his wife, Phyllis Brill; son Sloane (Jennifer) Yavarkovsky, son Neil (Jaclyn) Ackerman, brother Harv (Judy) Yavarkovsky, grandson Ethan Ackerman, grandson Noah Ackerman and granddaughter Tovah Ackerman.

The funeral will be tomorrow and the family will be sitting shiva tomorrow after the interment (approximately noon) until the chag begins at sundown, at Shari and Jason Nudelman's home, 70 Hedgerow Lane, Manalapan. 

The Nudelman family has asked that donations be made to Temple Shaari Emeth - Rabbi Panken's Discretionary Fund and Embracekids.org.

We are so sad to share that Stanley Komito, a longtime member of Temple Shaari Emeth, passed away this morning.  In addition to his wife, Bonnie, children: Fara Bono (Daniel),  Erica Boilen (David), and Marc Komito (Diana), and their families are all members of the temple, including grandchildren:  Hannah and Jacob Bono; Hunter, Joey, and Maya Boilen; and Miles and Landon Komito.  In addition, Stanley is remembered by his brother-in-law, Lloyd Krimko and sister-in-law, Carol Krimko.

The funeral service will be at Temple Shaari Emeth on Monday, April 22, 2019 at 10:00 am.  Interment will follow at Beth Israel Cemetary (US Highway 1 North, Woodbridge Township, NJ 07095).

Visitors will be accepted at Bonnie's home (13 Palomino Drive 
Manalapan, NJ 07726) on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. There will be a minyan each evening at 7:30 pm.

The Eshet Chayil / Woman of Valor award is presented each year to a Sisterhood member who has proven to be a leader in the community. Stemming from a hymn in the Book of Proverbs, this woman is recognized as an openly giving and compassionate person. She is committed to the cause of the Jewish people and Israel. This outstanding woman is a role model to others, including her family and inspires women to positively impact Jewish communities, both at Temple Shaari Emeth and outside of our walls.
