At Temple Shaari Emeth, our foremost commitment is to the safety and well-being of our children, congregants, and staff. We also recognize how important it is to keep our community informed—especially during times of heightened tension both internationally and here at home.
In light of recent global events, we want to reassure you that we are taking every possible step to ensure our community remains safe and supported. We continue to work closely with local and state law enforcement, the FBI, the Secure Community Network (SCN), the Jewish Federation in the Heart of New Jersey, and other Jewish institutions to coordinate both planning and response efforts.
We are deeply committed to providing a secure environment where we can nurture our Early Learning Center, Religious School, Lifelong Learning programs, and the many ways we gather to observe and celebrate our faith as Reform Jews.
The SCN and the Jewish Federation's security teams are closely monitoring the situation in partnership with federal and local authorities. SCN serves as the official safety liaison for the Jewish community and plays a vital role in sharing information and best practices for communal security.
As of now, our law enforcement partners agree that the risk of any targeted retaliation toward Jewish communities in the U.S. remains low. However, we remain vigilant, as caution and preparedness are essential in ensuring the safety of our community.
We understand that times like these can bring feelings of uncertainty and concern. Please know that we are here for you, and we remain united in strength, compassion, and faith. With care and commitment, Stuart Brown, Executive Director
