YOSHE - Jewish Youth Groups, Manalapan, NJ - Temple Shaari Emeth

Temple Shaari Emeth's youth programming is custom tailored for each of our four groups. Led by an experienced professional advisor, our youth are engaged in fun-filled activities which teach sportsmanship, leadership and self-confidence, all while strengthening Jewish identity. Our ritual, community, and social action programs foster connection and inspire positive change in our youth and in our world.

YOSHE has four age-appropriate groups. Club YOSHE is our youngest group for ages kindergarten, first, and second grade. YOSHE Minis is our group for grades three, four and five. Our sixth, seventh and eighth graders are members of YOSHE Juniors and our High School students in ninth through twelfth grade are YOSHE Seniors. Each group has its own activities led by a professional advisor.

Club YOSHE
Our Club Yoshe program is designed for our youngest youth in Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grade. Exciting programming encourages interaction, creativity, and team spirit producing lots of giggles, laughs and extraordinary amounts of fun!

YOSHE Minis
Within this fun and entertaining environment, our 3rd through 5th graders are engaged in specialized programming to promote socialization, teamwork, self-confidence, and creative expression through crafts, games and special events. They learn about helping others through tzedakah, caring and sharing and feeding the hungry.

YOSHE Juniors 
Targeting sixth, seventh, and eighth graders, YOSHE Juniors offers a range of activities that cater to our middle schoolers. This group emphasizes social interaction, leadership development, and community service. This group gets involved with our community and addresses social action needs by helping to support our homeless shelter program and assisting with clothing drives. This group also enjoys regional events with NFTY. The “twist” are events and trips incorporated into this program
that are just plain fun!

YOSHE Seniors
YOSHE Seniors is dedicated to high school students in grades nine through twelve. This group offers more advanced programming that includes leadership training, in-depth social action projects, and opportunities for regional and national involvement through the Union for Reform Judaism and NFTY. YOSHE Seniors participate in activities that help them develop critical thinking skills, foster a strong sense of Jewish identity, and build lasting friendships. They are encouraged to actively contribute to both the local and broader Jewish community.

Temple Shaari Emeth is affiliated with the Union for Reform Judaism and NFTY, the North American Federation of Temple Youth. Through this affiliation, our youth in grades seven through twelve can take advantage of regional, national and international experiences.
