Join us for a historical tour and hike at Hartshorne Woods Park in Highlands NJ. We'll meet at 10:00am in the parking lot at the Rocky Point entrance.  Our adventure will begin with a guided tour of Historic Battery Lewis, the largest coastal fortification built in NJ during WWII to protect the New York City harbor.  After the tour, we'll hike the Battery Loop trail (1.3 miles, paved, moderate terrain) and regroup after the hike for a bring-your-own picnic.
