Annual Appeal

On behalf of the Board of Trustees of Temple Shaari Emeth, I want to wish you and your family L’ Shana Tovah.

High Holy Days are a time of reflection and giving. At this time we reflect upon the past year, our lives and our hopes for the future. We hope you will include Temple Shaari Emeth in your reflections and participate in the Annual Appeal. The success, vitality and growth of our community are based upon the involvement of all of us.

Since it is every Jew’s responsibility to help others in the time of need, we particularly need your help now. Dues alone cannot completely cover the costs of maintaining our facility, support the outstanding educational opportunities of family programming and adult education, and especially to make sure that every Jew who wants to be a part of our family can belong to our community, regardless of affordability. Our ability to provide these services is based upon the generosity of our own members in supporting Temple Shaari Emeth.

We want to thank to all of you who have given in the past and intend to give again this year. Voluntary giving is fundamental to ensuring a fiscally sound operating budget, and is a mitzvah of the highest level. For some of our members, your contributions will make the difference to them of staying affiliated with us or not. Please join us in the quest to fulfill our legacy, to sustain the vitality and strength of our Jewish community, and to ensure the growth and future of Temple Shaari Emeth.

This year we are recognizing donors to the Annual Appeal who contribute at least $500 or more for the year as Mitzvah Members. As such, they will be entitled to complimentary tickets to all Sisterhood, Men’s Club, and other Temple events that are held on our premises. A board in our lobby will recognize their commitment and they will be honored at a special Shabbat service.

Your pledge card was enclosed with your High Holy Day tickets. This card indicates the contribution your family made last year. Please consider increasing that contribution this year. Return the pledge card by mailing it to the Temple in the special envelope included in the ticket packet. If you have never given in the past, we deeply hope you will start now.

YOU can help make a difference in our community. Your support today goes a long way towards securing our future.

Brian, Rob, David, and I wish you and your family a happy, healthy, and peaceful New Year.

L’Shana Tovah,

Lisa Marder,
President
